Itasca Books was formed in 2004 by long-time publishing professionals with deep digital experience. We understand that the new publishing landscape requires a new kind of book distributor: digital from the ground up, not tied to old-school practices, not supporting overheads that bear no relationship to how publishing works now. Itasca Books is a sister company to Bookmobile, a pioneer in digital book printing and quality eBook services.
Itasca Books is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Its warehouse is adjacent to Bookmobile’s printing plant, for fast replenishment of stock and zero inbound freight cost for publishers.

About Print Distribution with Itasca Books
Itasca Books operates its own order processing and shipping facilities, in close affiliation with Bookmobile, our digital book printing service. Keeping these essential functions in-house enables us to offer highly cost-effective distribution services for publishers and responsive customer service for book buyers.
Fulfillment of Both Consumer and Book Trade Orders
Orders come in via our bookselling website www.ItascaBooks.com, our toll-free 800 number, our fax line, post, and email. These ordering services are provided for every title, along with electronic credit-card order processing, to service direct-to-consumer, mail-order, and advertising campaigns of our client publishers. Itasca Books staff are available via email or telephone to take orders, answer questions, and solve logistical problems. On the book trade side, we distribute to wholesalers Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and to retailers, including Amazon and other online and bricks-and-mortar booksellers, wholesalers, and retailers.

Services Provided
- Store your books in our climate-controlled, insured warehouse.
- Distribute your title information to Bowker, Ingram, Baker & Taylor, bn.com, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.
- Process orders for your books from retailers and wholesalers.
- Pick orders, pack in double-wall cartons, ship to retailers and wholesalers.
- Process payments from retailers and wholesalers.
- Process returns from retailers and wholesalers, inspecting for damage.
- Provide monthly reports for each of your titles showing detailed sales, returns, freight costs, payments from resellers, and returns credits from resellers.
- Disburse checks to you for payments received net of fees.
- Dropship orders on your behalf for review copies, events, office copies, orders from your website, etc.
