Along with the increase in art book printing Bookmobile has seen from artists, photographers, galleries, and museums, we’re also seeing an increase in anime printing and graphic novels—and we couldn’t be more pleased! It used to be that artists were either limited to either printing 2,000 copies of their book via offset, or producing the book on their own by printing or photocopying, folding, stapling, etc. But with the high quality of today’s digital color printing, artists can now use short-run printing for anywhere from 25 to 2,000 copies and receive affordable, professionally produced books with all of the bells and whistles Bookmobile provides.
Anime Printing: Where to Start?
The best place to start is to Request a Book Printing Quote. Even if your specs (page count, trim size, quantity, etc.) are an approximation, that’s fine. We’re happy to revise the estimate as needed as you go along. Keep in mind we can print interiors in black ink only, 4-color, or a black ink interior with 4-color inserts. We can do trim sizes from 3″ x 4″ to 12″ x 12″, portrait or landscape. We offer perfect binding, perfect binding with PUR glue for interiors on coated stocks, hardcover binding (with printed cases and/or dust jackets), plastic spiral binding, and wire-o binding. We offer a lot of bells and whistles too, like French flaps, paperback endsheets, fold-out inserts, and translucent vellum dust jackets. Browse our Gallery to see more options!
Print Ready Files
When you’re ready to print, we’ll need designed and print-ready PDF files from you for printing. This means one PDF file for the cover that includes the back cover, spine, and front cover, with a 1/8″ bleed provided. We can provide you with a cover template, and you can calculate your spine width here.
We’ll also need a single-paged (no spreads) PDF file of the interior, with a 1/8″ bleed provided only if your interior artworks bleed off the pages. Check out our file guidelines on our Support page for more information.
