Personnel Changes at Itasca Books
Hans Weyandt is the new Distribution Manager for Itasca Books, a division of Bookmobile, in Minneapolis, MN. Mark Jung is retiring at the end of August after 20 years.
Hans brings 21 years of bookselling experience to Itasca Books–he previously worked at Moon Palace Books, Milkweed Books, Micawber’s, and Hungry Mind Bookstore. He has also been a judge for the NEA and MN Book Awards. Hans is also the editor of Read This! Handpicked Favorites from America’s Indie Bookstores, from Coffee House Press.
We’re excited for this next chapter of Itasca Books. Itasca Books continues to grow, and most recently 20+ Small Press Distribution publishers have signed on to Itasca for trade distribution. Hans has always been a great supporter of independent bookstores and publishers; so a natural fit for Bookmobile and Itasca Books, an independently owned printer and distributor.
Bookmobile began as a design and typesetting production house in 1982, then started offering print services in 1996, and distribution services in 2004.
