Cry Punch Comics is a fantasy martial-arts comic anthology, edited by Al Gofa and published by Nouveau Systeme. This Kickstarter Comic features fourteen indie artists “who love a good Round-kick” and was a Kickstarter “Project We Love”. Check out the Kickstarter here. Al had a very successful Kickstarter; 834 backers and raised more than the goal, which meant more money to the artists.
Printing the Kickstarter Comic Anthology
Cry Punch Comics is 8-¼” x 10”, 448 pages, black ink on 45 lb. cream Orca at 420 PPI (pages per inch), and perfect bound with a 4/4 cover on 12 pt. C1S cover stock with gloss lay flat lamination. The 45 lb. cream is a great choice for a b&w comic with this many pages; it looks great.

Mailing the Kickstarter Comic Backer Awards
Al also worked with Bookmobile’s drop ship services to fulfill his backer awards. Al uploaded mailing lists for his backer rewards, and once books were printed and bound, they started to go out in the mail.
Bookmobile has provided book order fulfillment since 2005. Books are stored in our climate-controlled and insured warehouse, right next-door to the Bookmobile printshop. In our Stacks Drop Ship Manager, publishers can view their current inventory on hand and order drop ships at any time.
While you can place a drop ship order manually (handy for events or author copies), you can also upload an Excel file drop ship list, or configure an API feed to automatically input orders. We can collect orders from Shopify, SquareSpace, Weebly, and WooCommerce.
You can also see all your orders and their status in Stacks: order received, orders in process, orders shipped (along with tracking numbers, of course), and also backorders. You can search your order history too by your reference number, order received date, title, ISBN, and ship-to address. Book printing is invoiced once a run is put into inventory (our minimum run is 25 copies), then fulfillment costs are invoiced on a weekly basis.
