Are you printing photography books? Bookmobile offers great quality and customer service, and competitive pricing. Plus, book printing is our sole focus—for the past twenty years we’ve combined traditional printing values with the latest digital printing technology. All color pages print on our Xerox 800/1000s, which print at 2400 x 2400 DPI at a 200-line screen. The printers use less fuser oil than past digital printers, and they deliver a smooth, offset-like finish and pure color. The Xerox prints outstanding midtones, crisp text, pure neutrals, detailed shadows, and bright highlights. Our color prints CMYK, so if a Pantone or RGB color is specified, it is converted to CMYK. We offer full color file guidelines here.
Options for Printing Photography Books
We offer a lot of options at Bookmobile! We produce paperbacks and hardcovers, and we can create hardcovers with dust jackets, printed cases, and more. We can produce trim sizes from 3″ x 4″ up to 12″ x 12″, portrait or landscape. Books that print on a coated interior stock are perfect bound (then cased in, if a hardcover) with PUR glue, for optimal adhesion. Just a few of the options we offer are featured below, so be sure to browse our Gallery to see the full breadth of possibilities and inspiration!
Dismantling Stereotypes is a fine art photography book from the artist Karima White. Her black-and-white photography printed 4-color process on 70-lb. white matte-coated stock, which resulted in the deep, rich black tones she was looking for. The book was perfect bound at 10″ x 8″ with a cover on 10 pt. C1S with gloss, lay-flat lamination.
Over Ebey’s is from Whidbey Panoramas, and it’s panoramic photographs of Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve near Coupeville, Washington. It’s a landscape (11″ x 8-1/2″) hardcover with a printed case, and the interior printed 4-color on 80-lb. white matte coated stock.
We can also bind a hardcover book with a cloth case, foil stamps, and even inset a printed image. Home Less from Alfred Brown IV is a hardcover at 9″ x 9″. The case is a Pearl linen seafoam green cloth with black foil stamps. The photo insert was printed 4-color, matte laminated, then glued into a debossed area.
