History

Founded in 1982 as a book design and production service, BookMobile expanded into a full range of services for publishers. BookMobile is a pioneer in Print On Demand, having launched digital book printing in December 1996. Superior quality, excellent customer service, flexibility and timely turnarounds have attracted to BookMobile nearly 1,000 satisfied customers including trade houses, university presses, and independent publishers.

1982 Founded as Stanton Publication Services, providing composition for university presses.

1984 Began acting as print agent for literary and scholarly publishers.

1996 Launched our own digital book printing operation.

April 1, 2005 Began distribution operation Itasca Books.

November 8, 2005 Printed book 1,000,001.

November 2005 Introduced hardcover binding line.

April 28, 2007 Printed book 2,000,001.

June 2008 Launched ebook conversion and distribution services.

October 2009 Printed book 4,000,001.
