Coffee House Press had a good problem: their hardcover book Stephen Florida by Gabe Habash was receiving excellent reviews and selling fast. Their first run was printed offset, and an offset reprint was underway, but due to the offset printer’s long turnaround time they were concerned about running out of stock. That’s where Bookmobile came in!

Our typical hardcover turn is six to eight weeks, but we make exceptions depending on the book’s specifications and what’s already scheduled in the print shop. Stephen Florida came in on July 12, and with clean files and a quick ok to print on eProofs, we were able to ship by July 28th—a 2-½ week turn for a hardcover!
It helped that this print run was from Coffee House Press. We’ve worked with them for over 18 years for printing, and we know we can expect files to arrive on time and proofs to be approved quickly. And since 2014, Bookmobile has been managing Coffee House Press’s book design, typesetting, and production management, so we knew the files would be print-ready and trouble-free. We printed 1,000 copies of Stephen Florida, a 6″ x 9″ hardcover with 304 pages, black ink on 50-lb. cream interior stock at 420 PPI. It’s perfect bound and cased in with a Rainbow Antique pewter case with a silver foil stamp on the spine, white headbands, and Rainbow Antique black end sheets. The dust jacket printed 4-color on 100-lb. gloss C2S with matte lamination.
